Second-Order Pole-Zero Pair Selection for n th-Order Minimum Sensitivity Networks

Using a two-port active RC network containing oneideal differential input and output operational amplifier, realizationprocedures are developed for simultaneous realization of any pairof the four short-circuit admittance parameters. The only stipulationon the parameters is that they must be real rational functions in thecomplex frequency variable. Experimental verification of one of theprocedures is presented.The procedures are generalized to the N-port case in order toshow that one amplifier and an RC network are suflicient for thesimultaneous realization of any N admittance parameters providedone parameter is prescribed from each column (row) of the admit-tance matrix of the active N-port network, but proof appears in (IO).
